Sleep Disorders / Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a sleep-related breathing disorder that involves a decrease or complete halt in airflow despite an ongoing effort to breathe. It occurs when the muscles relax during sleep, causing soft tissue in the back of the throat to collapse and block the upper airway. Symptoms include loud snoring, daytime sleepiness, decreased memory/concentration and/or morning headaches. If untreated, OSA can increase the risk of being involved in a motor vehicle accident or cause elevated blood pressure, erectile dysfunction and/or congestive heart failure.

In conjunction with board-certified Sleep Medicine specialists, the ENT Specialists of Nashville can diagnose and offer treatments for adults and children who may suffer from OSA. With one referral, you can receive comprehensive diagnostic and medical/surgical treatment for your sleep disorder. Our sleep techs are knowledgeable and friendly. The facilities are clean and comfortable, offering you the best quality sleep.
