Voice Care
The Voice Care Center of Nashville is committed to helping our patients feel their best. For patients dealing with problems with their voice and swallowing, “feeling their best” is not always easy. Fortunately, our physicians have been trained to accurately diagnose and appropriately treat many conditions which cause voice and swallowing disorders.
Is your voice not performing the way it is supposed to? By performing both fiberoptic laryngoscopy and videostroboscopy, our physicians are able to accurately diagnose pathologies which cause dysphonia (disorders of voice production). These procedures are quick, well-tolerated, and can be performed in the office without sedation. Once the cause has been diagnosed, we are able to offer a number of treatments options for improving your voice, including both surgical and non-surgical options, designed to help you get your voice back.
Patients with dysphagia (difficulties eating and swallowing), can expect a comprehensive evaluation aimed at identifying the cause of their difficulty. For many patients, radiographic studies or endoscopic evaluation of the throat may be necessary for accurate diagnosis. Our physicians may offer a variety of treatment options to address many of the common causes of swallowing dysfunction, including diet modification, swallowing therapy, medication, or minimally invasive surgery.
